The US Army has invited Safe Pro Group to take part in an upcoming Force-on-Force combat exercise, one of the military’s most realistic training simulations between opposing units.
During the exercise, the company’s NODE-X system will be used to help soldiers detect threats faster, generate maps, plan safer routes, and improve situational awareness in contested environments.
Designed as a backpack-sized edge computing system, NODE-X processes drone imagery directly in the field without internet or cloud connectivity.
The platform combines AI-driven threat detection, 3D mapping, and automated route planning to support reconnaissance and maneuver operations.

It is powered by Safe Pro’s SPOTD technology, which has been trained on millions of drone images, including real-world combat data from Ukraine.
According to the company, the AI can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats, including landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance, and ambush drones.
Building on Prior Field Trials
The upcoming exercise follows Safe Pro’s recent participation in a US Army active minefield exercise, where the company said its drone imagery analysis platform supported operational decision-making and mission planning in a live threat environment.
Safe Pro said NODE-X is compatible with US Army-approved Short-Range Reconnaissance drones and is designed to deliver tactical-edge intelligence during reconnaissance and maneuver support missions.
