US-based AI security company ZeroEyes is investing $10 million in AI research and development to expand its threat detection platform with new analytics, real-time geolocation, and drone-based capabilities.
Originally known for its AI-powered weapons detection technology, the company is now broadening its platform beyond firearm detection into a wider threat intelligence system designed to identify and respond to multiple security risks.
The funding will support new knife detection and threat geolocation features, a dedicated AI technology laboratory for testing and training models, an expanded operations center, and small drone capabilities focused on aerial threat detection and situational awareness.
ZeroEyes also plans to hire more than 100 veterans in southeastern Pennsylvania over the next two years for AI-focused positions, including technical program managers, machine learning operations engineers, and AI solutions specialists.
“This investment marks a critical milestone in our evolution into a unified threat intelligence platform that provides organizations with a single, trusted ecosystem for threat response,” said Mike Lahiff, chief executive and co-founder of ZeroEyes.
He added that the investment will accelerate the company’s technology development while strengthening its commitment to supporting the veteran community in southeastern Pennsylvania.
