Havelsan has announced the integration of artificial intelligence across its defense portfolio, aiming to enhance military effectiveness across all domains.

The shift positions AI not just as a backend tool, but as a core engine driving tactical capabilities, helping the Turkish state-owned enterprise keep pace with modern, dynamic battlefields.

At a major defense expo in Istanbul, Havelsan showcased how AI is embedded into every layer of its systems to support faster decision-making, smarter operations, and more agile responses to threats.

Battle Management Assistant

Among the AI-enabled tech on display was Havelsan’s Advent Combat Management System, now paired with a new digital assistant named Main.

The setup blends real-time voice command recognition with sustainment data, giving commanders and troops a more seamless and responsive way to coordinate and operate in the field.

Wargame Environments

Havelsan also demonstrated its push into adaptive training with behavior-based AI modeling and virtual reality (VR)-integrated platforms.

The company rolled out a suite of flagship simulators for ground systems, medical training, electronic warfare, and live-fire scenarios, underscoring its focus on immersive, data-driven readiness tools.

A standout in this category was the ALTAY Tank VR Trainer. Linked to Meta’s Quest 3 All-In-One VR Gaming Headset and a large display, it offers a realistic tank operation experience to sharpen situational awareness, cognitive agility, and tactical decision-making.

Joint-Domain Drone Swarm

Autonomous systems took the spotlight at Atatürk Airport and Ataköy Marina, where Havelsan’s multi-domain drone swarm, known as Digital Troops, showed how land, air, and sea platforms can work together in real time.

Driven by mission-specific swarm AI, the unmanned systems ran complex battlefield simulations, demonstrating how coordinated autonomy can give forces a decisive edge.

Part of the Digital Troops deployed at the exhibit are the Barkan robotic tank, Sancar armed boat, Baha vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, and the Zipkin unmanned surface vessel developed in collaboration with Turkish firm VN Yachting.

Maritime Co-Pilot

During the event, Havelsan also debuted Bluevision, an AI-powered maritime awareness tool designed for crewed vessels.

Billed as a digital co-pilot, Bluevision processes real-time maritime data to provide intuitive visual decision support, bringing defense-level situational awareness to everyday naval operations.
