Karnataka startup Neuralix AI has rolled out India’s first fully indigenous defense AI platform, a milestone unveiled by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue in New Delhi.

Built under the Ministry of Defence’s Idex Aditi 2.0 program, the platform centers on an Indian large language model (LLM) designed specifically for defense workflows.

LLMs can analyze big loads of information, interpret complex language tasks, and deliver smart, actionable responses to users.

For Neuralix, its LLM can support command operations, document intelligence, multilingual translation, speech interfaces, operational analytics, secure data integration, and hybrid cloud connectivity.

The company said these capabilities allow the AI to act as a digital backbone, boosting military readiness on modern battlefields while keeping sensitive data under Indian control.

‘A Matter of Pride’

On the innovation, Singh noted that the homegrown platform strengthens India’s defense posture and reinforces the broader “Atmanirbhar Bharat” push, aimed at reducing reliance on imported tech.

Neuralix leaders echoed that sentiment, with co-founder Vikram Jayaram saying the Idex initiative gives startups a real shot at creating “cutting-edge technology” for defense and security applications.

He added that creating India’s own defense AI system is “a matter of pride for Kannadigas” and a sign of how local talent can shape the country’s strategic future.
