The US Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) has turned to C3 AI to bring advanced AI tools to logistics planning for troops operating in contested environments.
Under the program, the California firm will develop a system to forecast spare parts, fuel, and munitions needs at the brigade level, helping forward units plan resupply more efficiently.
It will leverage agentic and generative AI to provide real-time supply chain visibility, even amid disruption or risk, reducing the likelihood of shortages during combat operations.
“The future of defense logistics is real-time, data-driven, and AI-enabled,” said Stephen Ehikian, C3 AI’s CEO.
“This award reflects the US Army’s focus on operational speed and technological advantage … [and] underscores the critical role AI will play in strengthening national defense infrastructure.”

Federal-Ready Platform
C3 AI’s software is deployed across commercial and government sectors, including energy, finance, and defense.
Some key partners include the US Air Force, Raytheon, and Bank of America.
Integration with major cloud platforms, including Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Amazon, is expected to support large-scale deployments.
C3 AI recently earned FedRAMP authorization, the US government’s security certification for cloud platforms, enabling federal agencies to use its systems for sensitive, mission-critical data.
