The US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is highlighting its approach to human-machine teaming through a new video series showing how artificial intelligence supports logistics analysis and decision-making.

The four-part series, titled “Decision Advantage: The Human-AI Advantage,” explores how personnel work alongside AI tools to process complex logistics datasets and generate actionable insights.

The first episode, “Sea of Data,” looks at how AI helps analyze large volumes of information that would be difficult for humans to process manually.

According to the video, DLA’s data environment spans supply fulfillment rates, fuel levels, invoices, repair records, and disruption reports, which are typically slow and labor-heavy to process without automation.

A second episode, “Partnership,” focuses on the relationship between AI and human expertise, explaining how artificial intelligence can scan millions of data points and turn raw logistics data into operational insights.

Across the series, the agency underscored how AI contributes to what it calls a “decision advantage,” speeding up the process of extracting insights from logistics and supply chain data while leaving interpretation and decision-making to personnel.

The remaining two episodes in the series are scheduled for release on June 17 and July 1.
