Florida startup PureCipher has signed a contract to provide a secure communications capability for US Air Force combat missions.

Under the terms, the company will deploy its artificial intelligence-enabled systems to deliver “stealth, tamper-evident, and real-time” trusted communications for the service’s “most urgent” tasks.

Work for the project will be coordinated with the Michigan Air National Guard’s Kelly Johnson Joint All-Domain Innovation Center, and will primarily support the command’s Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, which is responsible for preparations of hundreds of joint and partner forces annually.

The contract for this initiative was awarded by air force innovation segment AFWERX under the Small Business Innovation Research program, which accelerates award timelines, reduces bureaucratic obstacles, and expands collaborations with “high-impact” small enterprises.

“We are honored to partner with AFWERX to bring advanced secure communications to the forefront of national defense,” said Wendy Chin, founder and CEO of PureCipher.

“This award recognizes our team’s mission to defend data, models, and critical operations in real time using quantum resilient and AI native protections.”

Among PureCipher’s flagship solutions are the “Personal Boss” data manager, the “Artificial Immune Systems” layered threat defense system, “OmniSeal” integrity assurance, and the “Intelligent Digital Container” access protection.
